Looking for a secluded cabin close to Cape Town with amazing views, a wood-fired hot tub, cargo net, outdoor bath, and more?
Sophie cabin has it all, with luxurious amenities to match! Perched high on the mountainside just 90 minutes from Cape Town, it offers uninterrupted views with floor-to-ceiling windows that invite the outdoors in.
What we loved
“Luxury is the location” perfectly sums up this stay. It’s one of the closest cabins to Cape Town, yet still incredibly private and secluded, with breathtaking mountain and vineyard views. Our favourite spot was the sunny window nook, perfect for relaxing and getting lost in a good book.
The Space
Kitchenette
The modern kitchenette is fully equipped with a gas stove, small fridge and air fryer. Coffee, tea, sugar, rusks, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper are provided.
Living
The cozy open-plan living space comes with a fireplace and window nook, perfect for enjoying one of the books from the book swap library (take a book, leave a book). There are also board games and a bluetooth speaker to enjoy.
Outdoors
There are multiple spaces to unwind and enjoy the views, including a wood fired hot tub, field bath, outdoor shower, sun loungers, outdoor dining area with a gas braai, and a boma area.
Bedroom
There is an extra-length queen size bed with luxurious linen and extra blankets for winter, as well as a ceiling fan for summer. There are also cupboards for storage, a dressing table/desk if you need to catch up on some work, and robes to enjoy during your stay.
Bathroom
The indoor bathroom boasts a double shower with eco-friendly bath amenities. For a true nature experience, there is an outdoor shower on the deck or a field bath just behind the cabin.

- Pack your hiking shoes or mountain bike as you’ll want to explore the farm and nearby hiking trails
- The wifi is great and there is a desk so this cabin is perfect for working remotely
- The cabin is located on Kirabo Private Cellar’s farm so you can pop down to the restaurant for a meal or wine tasting. You can also pre-order wine and enjoy it at the cabin
- Remember to bring a book so you can make use of the book swap library – take a book, leave a book
- Don’t forget your yoga gear! The deck is the ideal spot for some morning yoga and yoga mats are provided
