This has to be one of the most insane cabin locations ever – these views had us mesmerised the entire stay!
KumbuKumbu Mountain Villas are nestled high up in the mountains, overlooking the Langeberg mountain range and a beautiful dam. There are two cabins, Quarriebosch and The Summit but you would never know as you can’t see one another.
Relax as close to nature as you can get with these uniquely designed outside-inside living villas and witness Mother Nature’s show, from colourful sunsets, starry nights, and even snow capped-mountains in winter.
What we loved
The views are like no other, it honestly felt like we stepped into another world and cabin has been designed to invite these views in with floor-to-ceiling glass everywhere!
We also loved all the small touches! You arrive to a pre-built fire just waiting to be lit, a laid out dining table just waiting for a meal, a range of condiments and spices and even an emergency kit if you’ve forgotten your toothbrush etc behind.
The Space
Kitchen
The kitchen is well-equipped with a large island bench and bar stools. There is an oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Coffee, tea, sugar, 1L milk, rusks, olive oil, condiments, spices, 5L bottled water (although the tap water is perfectly safe to drink), ice, salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
The dining area features a 2-seater dining table and a built-in indoor braai. The lounge has comfortable seating and the sliding doors open out onto the large balcony with breathtaking views.
Outdoors
The deck comes with two sun loungers, a splash pool and egg chairs for afternoon sundowners.
Bedroom
The bedroom opens out onto the deck and you’ll wake up to the stunning views (there is a blind on the east facing side of the room). The queen sized bed comes with luxurious linen and a stunning fireplace for those chilly winter months, there are also ceiling fans for summer.
Bathroom
There is a generously sized shower, bath and separate his and her sinks. An emergency kit is also provided in case you’ve left something behind, like a toothbrush or plasters. The large sliding windows offer the option to enjoy your bath or shower in nature but without having to walk outside.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your hiking shoes, mountain bike and binoculars as there is plenty of property to explore as well as springbok, rhebok etc on the farm
- There is a two night minimum stay so make sure to book your leave in for a stress-free getaway (the wifi can be a little slow at times if you’re working remotely)
- Book a massage or spa treatment and enjoy it from the comfort of the cabin — there’s no better way to relax!
- You’ll want to grab your groceries beforehand, as once you arrive, you won’t want to leave (Robertson or Montagu are good options)
- Additional specified grocery items can be supplied by prior arrangement at an additional cost
- Book a 3 night stay and get 10% off (discount will be automatically applied on checkout)
