A true escape from the city, where luxury and wilderness meet. Tucked between acacia trees on a private nature reserve, where zebra, eland and wildebeest roam. With a wood-fired hot tub, private pool, cargo nets, and a dreamy outdoor bath all tucked into your own little pocket of nature, this cabin is designed for long, lazy days outside and slow, starry nights.
What we loved
You honestly can’t ask for better amenities or hospitality than this! The pool is one of the best we’ve experienced at a cabin – you can even enjoy breakfast while sitting in it! We also loved being able to take walks on the farm and spot game along the way. And the cleanliness and attention to detail is next level – they even polish the glasses before your stay!
The space
Kitchen/Dining
There’s a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, large fridge-freezer, whistling kettle, Nespresso machine, microwave and toaster. There is also an island bench with two barstools for casual dining. Coffee, tea & sugar sachets, coffee pods, small milk, eggs, filter water, and salt & pepper are provided. There’s also an honesty bar with drinks and a few snacks so that you don’t have to pop out to the shops.
Living
The open-plan living space looks out onto the deck and the views, and features a leather couch and a fireplace. The doors open fully, allowing you to completely bring the outdoors in.
Outdoors
Trust us, you won’t want to go inside! The massive deck has everything you could dream of: a built-in braai, sunken lounge, cargo net, wood-fired hot tub, outdoor bath, and a seriously impressive pool that’s perfect for lazy days in the sun. The bath and hot tub are also undercover so you can enjoy all year round.

The queen-sized bed is fitted with luxurious linen as well as electric blankets for winter. There is a fan for warmer evenings and a closet and dressing table for getting ready.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your hiking shoes, mountain bikes and binoculars as you’ll want to explore the farm and spot wildlife
- There is a two night minimum stay so make sure to book your leave in for a stress-free getaway (the wifi can be a little slow at times if you’re working remotely)
- You’ll want to grab your groceries beforehand, as once you arrive, you won’t want to leave (Peregrine Farm Stall is a good option for some fresh produce, homemade quiches and pies)
- The cabins are situated close to the Robertson Wine Valley Route. If you do decide to venture out then make sure to stop off at Springfield Wine Estate, their Life From Stone wine is our all time favourite! Otherwise pop into Weltevrede Estate which is just a 15 minute drive
- If Karee is booked then have a look at Olea or Acacia

Things to note
- Coffee, tea & sugar sachets, coffee pods, small milk, eggs, filtered water, salt & pepper, firewood, and firelighters are provided. The tap water is quite salty, so we suggest packing some additional drinking water as well
- You can purchase drinks, extra firewood, firelighters, ice, etc. from the honesty bar
- There are 2 other cabins on the property but they are positioned well for privacy
- There is a refundable breakage deposit of R2500 payable before arrival, separate payment details will be sent
- A higher clearance car is recommended for winter as the dirt road can get quite muddy
