Our Top Tips

  • Pack your hiking shoes, mountain bikes and swimming costumes as you’ll want to explore the farm and surrounding areas. There is also a dam on the farm which you can swim in
  • You’ll want to grab your groceries beforehand, as you won’t want to leave once you arrive! (Peregrine Farm Stall is a good option for some fresh produce, homemade quiches and pies)
  • Jay Peg is situated close to the Hemel en Aarde Wine Valley which has some of the best wine farms in the country! Some of our favourite wine estates are: Creation, Ataraxia, Spookfontein & La Vierge Wines
  • If Jay Peg is fully booked then have a look at their other two cabins – Casey Tibbs and Camden Park

Things to note

  • Instant coffee, filter coffee, coffee pods, tea, sugar, milk, still water, salt and pepper, braai seasoning, firewood and firelighters are provided
  • Please note, the cabin is located on a working stud farm so you may hear tractors and see farm staff tending to the horses during the day
  • If you're looking for a bit more privacy then rather book Casey Tibbs or Camden Park as they are more secluded
