What We Loved
The swings were definitely our favourite part of this stay. There’s nothing more peaceful than gently swaying back and forth, taking in the rolling hills and endless views while watching the birds come and go!
The Space
Kitchenette
The kitchenette is fully equipped with a gas oven and stove, a whistling kettle, and a medium fridge-freezer. Instant coffee, tea, sugar, rusks, olive oil, basic spices, and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
There’s a small dining table, a beautiful leather couch, indoor fireplace, aircon and a Smart TV so you can log into your Netflix account etc. It’s the perfect space to relax, whether it’s cozy nights by the fire or lazy afternoons watching your favourite series.
Outdoors
The living space opens out onto a spacious deck with an outdoor lounge area and built in braai. There is also a wood-fired hot tub, cargo nets, and even an outdoor shower! Steps lead down to two bucket swings which look out over the rolling hills.
Bedroom
The bedroom also opens out onto the deck, offering breathtaking mountain views right from your bed. The queen sized bed comes with quality linen and there are some really fun hot water bottles for winter! There is also a dressing table for getting ready and plenty of storage space.
Bathroom
The bath and shower are located in the bedroom, with the toilet separate for privacy. The bath is located close to the window so you can soak in the views quite literally! And there’s an outdoor shower too if you prefer being even closer to nature.
Amenities

Our Top Tips
- Pack your hiking shoes and mountain bike as you can explore the whole farm
- Bring your binoculars as there is so much birdlife. There are also antelope, caracals and ostriches on the farm
- You’ll want to grab your groceries beforehand, as once you arrive, you won’t want to leave! (there is a very decent FreshStop just off the highway and a Spar a little bit further into Heidelberg, otherwise Swellendam or Riversdale are good options for the basics)
- Bring some filter coffee along, the cabin has both a Bialetti and a French press
- If you book a weekend stay you’ll get to enjoy a late Sunday checkout – perfect for one last slow morning
