Nestled on a working fruit farm, this cozy pod boasts gorgeous vineyard and mountain views and comes with a wood-fired hot tub/splash pool. It’s the perfect base for exploring Franschhoek’s incredible food and wine or simply enjoying a relaxing weekend in nature.
What we loved
This location truly offers the best of both worlds — a peaceful farm setting where you can unwind and enjoy the sights of cows grazing and the sound of a murmuring stream. Yet it’s within walking distance of town and the famous Wine Tram, so you can spend a full day wine tasting without worrying about the drive home!
The Space
Kitchenette
The modern kitchenette is equipped with a gas stove, small fridge, microwave and toaster. Tea, coffee, filter coffee, sugar, milk, rusks, basic spices, and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
The open-plan living space features a small dining table with two chairs and a corner bench seat with a large window looking out across the vineyards.
Outdoors
The private patio comes with two sun loungers that overlook the garden and soothing mountain stream. There’s also a Weber braai and a wood-fired hot tub/splash pool with jets if you want to turn it into a jacuzzi.
Bedroom
There is a queen size bed and a TV with DSTV (all channels). There is also ample storage space and an aircon for those hot summer days.
Bathroom
The bathroom comes with a large walk-in shower with eco-friendly bath amenities.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your takkies as you’ll want to explore the farm and orchards and stop to take some pics with the pink and white blossoms in spring
- The cabin is perfect for working remotely as it has high-speed Wi-Fi and backup power for loadshedding
- Book a massage and enjoy it from the comfort of the cabin — there’s no better way to relax!
- We highly recommend experiencing the Franschhoek Wine Tram
- Franschhoek boasts some of South Africa’s ‘Top 100’ restaurants and has become known as the country’s Culinary Capital. We recommend Smitten for breakfast/tea, and Oku, Orangerie and La Petite Colombe for fine dining.
