This stay truly puts the glam in glamping! If, like us, you prefer glamping over camping but still want to be close to nature, then Elements is the perfect spot for you. Enjoy all the comforts of a luxury stay, including a hot tub, cargo nets, and more—without the hassle of tent-pitching or hard work!
Located in the Breede Valley, between Montagu and Touws River (2hrs30 from Cape Town), tucked away deep in the mountains – it’s the perfect secluded and romantic getaway and one of our top glamping picks!
What we loved
We loved how the tent is perfectly nestled against a breathtaking rock face, offering views from every angle. It’s spacious, beautifully furnished with Melvill & Moon pieces, and full of fun games like giant Jenga and bat-and-ball! Watching a family of klipspringers hop up the mountain and dassies curiously watch us while we braaied made the experience even more special.
The space
Kitchen
There’s a modern kitchenette with a gas hob, whistling kettle, bean-to-cup coffee machine, airfryer and small fridge-freezer. Coffee beans, tea, sugar, 250ml milk, olive oil and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
A large leather couch is positioned in front of the bed, perfect for taking in the mountain views and spotting klipspringers and dassies! There are several board games as well as a bluetooth speaker to set the mood just right. You can choose to dine indoors at the two-seater dining table or outdoors on the wooden deck or by the boma area.
Outdoors
The spacious outdoor deck features a wood-fired hot tub, double cargo nets (so you can each have your own!), and an outdoor living area. There’s also an outdoor shower around the side, and a path leads down to a boma with a fire pit and Weber braai.
Bedroom
The bedroom screams luxury with a four-poster, extra-length, king-sized bed adorned with linen drapes and offering views of the deck. There’s also a fan for those hot summer nights, along with a cupboard and drawers for storage.
Bathroom
The bathroom features a Victorian bath with awe-inspiring Karoo views and there is also an outdoor shower out on the deck if you prefer being even closer to nature.
