This summer camp inspired stay will sweep you up in its charm, and have you reminiscing about the carefree days of your childhood!
Perched up high against the mountain on Boschendal Wine Estate, the seven luxury tents (spaced well apart for privacy) come with everything you need for a super comfy stay. There is a beautiful dam with canoes and bean bags to laze around the jetty soaking up the sun. You can also order picnic, braai and breakfast boxes from Boschendal — ideal for leisurely grazing and catering to every palette.
What we loved
It’s glamping like we’ve never experienced before! The tents are so unique and quirky and are equipped with everything you need for a super luxurious stay, including aircon, a fireplace, electric blankets and the cutest touches like marshmallows for that authentic camping experience! The staff are so friendly and amazing – the tents are serviced daily and your hot tub is lit, so you can just relax and enjoy your stay.
The Space
Kitchenette
There’s a fully equipped kitchenette with a SMEG Induction stove hob, airfryer and small fridge. Tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, a bag of ice and a bottle of Camp Canoe Rosé wine is provided as well as marshmallows for toasting.
Living/Dining
The tent comes with a small dining/work area and a day bed next to the fireplace.
Outdoors
Outside there is a large deck with chairs, a Weber braai, a wood fired hot tub and cargo nets facing incredible views.
Bedroom
Each tent has a king-sized bed that comes with luxurious linen, hot water bottles and electric blankers to keep you warm in the colder months and an aircon for summer. You can make it a family getaway with the daybed serving as a sleeping spot for a child and a stretcher for another child.
Bathroom
The large bathroom features a double sink vanity and walk-in shower.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your hiking shoes or mountain bike and explore everything Boschendal Wine Estate has to offer
- Book a few nights and work remotely as there’s high speed WiFi and no load shedding courtesy of being off-grid
- Make it a family getaway, your kids will absolutely love it! There is a small additional charge per night for kids over the age of two years old
- You can order a picnic, breakfast or braai basket and enjoy it from the comfort of your tent. Or eat out at The Deli or The Werf Restaurant at the bottom of Boschendal Farm. There is also a market every Friday night, which is a great way to buy local goods for your stay!
- Stock up on fresh produce at the Boschendal Farm Shop and Butchery for the most delicious artisanal food
- Don’t forget to make time to explore Franschhoek too, there are plenty of incredible restaurants and boutique shops as well as the famous wine tram!
