what we loved
The location is absolutely spectacular, it honestly feels like you’ve stepped into another world! It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the birdlife is incredible. It also feels super safe with an electric fence around the perimeter and 24/7 security. The small touches are next level – they’ve really thought of everything! You can even order platters and combos to make your stay even more special. Watching a thunderstorm while cozy in bed was one of the most magical experiences.
The space
Kitchen
There’s a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, whistling kettle, Nespresso machine, and toaster. Instant coffee, ground coffee, Nespresso pods, tea, sugar, rusks, 250ml milk, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining/Outdoors
The space has been designed to enjoy the outdoors. The partially covered deck features a dining area, two sun loungers, a wood-fired hot tub and double cargo nets so you can each have your own. Inside, you can dine at the kitchen countertop, while outside, the boma area offers even more seating, along with a braai and a pizza oven. Don’t forget to pack your favourite pizza ingredients or pre-order one for your stay!
Bedroom
The bedroom opens onto the deck and you can open the doors fully to enjoy the breathtaking views from bed. The king-sized bed comes with luxurious linen and extra blankets for winter, as well as a fireplace. There is also a luggage rack, a clothes rail/shelving for storage, and a fan for those summer months.
Bathroom
The spacious bathroom features a large shower, where you can fully open the doors and enjoy a refreshing shower surrounded by succulents. Charlotte Rhys amenities are also provided.

- If the Mountain Pods are booked over your dates, we recommend checking out the Valley Pods which are slightly more luxurious

- There are 3 other cabins on the farm but they are positioned well for privacy
- There is a well maintained 4km gravel road to get there but any car should make it
