Nestled alongside a peaceful stream on La Bruyere Farm in Tulbagh, Streamside Geodome takes glamping to a whole new level, complete with everything you need – from stylish interiors to a wood-fired hot tub and a dome offering a one-of-a-kind sleeping experience. This stay is the perfect escape for nature lovers who want all the outdoor vibes without sacrificing comfort.
What we loved
This is glamping like we’ve never experienced before! The cabin’s design is truly next level and incredibly unique, with the most gorgeous mountain backdrop. We loved relaxing in the bucket chairs beside the running stream, and when the fairy lights come on at night, it becomes even more magical!
The Space
Kitchen
The semi open wood/glass cabin attached to the dome features a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, SMEG oven, gas hob, kettle, microwave and toaster. Tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, ice, salt and pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
The living area boasts stylish seating and a cozy fireplace. Large glass sliding doors open to the deck, with glass windows all around to take in the breathtaking mountain views. There are also two bar stools in the kitchen for casual dining.
Outdoors
There is a spacious outdoor deck with two sun loungers, a gas braai and a wood-fired hot tub, all overlooking the beautiful garden with plenty of space for your dog to play. There are also two concrete bucket chairs positioned by the stream, perfect for peaceful reading!
Bedroom
The geodome is beautifully furnished with a queen size bed and luxurious linen as well as hot water bottles, a gas heater and extra blankets for winter. There is also a seating area to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
Bathroom
A raised walkway leads you to a semi-outdoor bathroom. Its open-air design includes a spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet, allowing you to get ready while fully immersed in nature.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your hiking shoes, mountain bikes and swimming costumes as there are plenty of trails to explore and a dam to take a refreshing dip in after
- Bring your fishing rod along as you can fish in the dam (catch and release)
- Don’t stress if you’ve forgotten something as it’s just a 10 minute drive into Tulbagh. There are also some really great coffee shops, restaurants and wine tasting spots to explore, we recommend Kole & Deeg for lunch/coffee, The Tulbagh Hotel for dinner & Montpellier, Saronsberg or Twee Jonge Gezellen for wine tasting

Things to note
- Tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, ice, salt and pepper are provided
- The cabin is not off grid so it will be affected by load shedding but there is a gas hob, candles etc
- Only the dome is fully enclosed, the living area and bathroom are semi-enclosed and exposed to the elements so pack warm for winter
