Nestled among the trees on a working fruit farm in Tulbagh, this cozy and eclectic cabin is perfect if you’re looking for a farm escape while still being close enough to explore the charming town of Tulbagh and all the incredible wine farms.
With thoughtful touches at every turn and the option of a romantic surprise, picnic or couples massage it’s perfect for celebrating those special occasions. Spend your afternoons strolling through the orchards or in the hot tub with a glass of wine, looking out at the mountain views.
What we loved
The cabin is super cute and uniquely decorated, which adds to its charm. Surrounded by trees, it feels incredibly private too! We loved relaxing on the loungers outside, soaking in the mountain and orchard views, and watching all the small birds come and visit.
The Space
Kitchen
There’s a fully equipped kitchenette with a gas hob, fridge-freezer, whistling kettle, microwave and toaster. Coffee, tea, sugar, 250ml milk, rusks, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
There’s a large leather couch positioned in front of a fireplace, along with a mini sound system to set the mood just right. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors on the wooden deck.
Outdoors
There large deck is surrounded by trees and comes with two sun loungers and a wood fired hot tub. There’s also a built-in braai that’s prepped and ready to light, all you need to do is light the lollipop firelighter.
Bedroom
The queen-sized bed is situated on a raised dais and comes with an electric blanket and extra blankets for winter. There’s also an aircon for those hot summer nights and a cupboard for storage.
Bathroom
The bathroom features a double shower, washbasin and toilet.

Our Top Tips
- Pack your takkies or mountain bike – you’ll want to explore the farm and orchards, and stop to take some pics with the pink and white blossoms in spring
- Book your leave in for a stress-free getaway as the wifi can be a little slow if you’re working remotely and will not work during load shedding
- They offer a range of romantic gestures to surprise your loved one and make your stay even better which you can add when you book your stay
- Don’t stress if you’ve forgotten something as it’s just a 10 minute drive into Tulbagh. There are also some great coffee shops, restaurants and wine tasting spots to explore, we recommend Kole & Deeg or Kloofzicht Deli for lunch/coffee, The Tulbagh Hotel for dinner & Montpellier, Manley Wine Estate or Twee Jonge Gezellen for wine tasting

- The cabin is affected by load shedding but there are candles, a torch and a gas hob

- The cabin is located on an active fruit farm so you may hear tractors and other farm activity, especially during the harvest season
- There are 5 other cabins on the property but they are spaced well for privacy
