This location is truly one of a kind – perched above a dam in the orchards, Goedemoed Reflect offers stunning mountain views, incredible birdlife, and best of all, you have the entire dam to yourself!
Located near Montagu, this cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway and comes with everything you could ask for: a hot tub, cargo nets, an indoor/outdoor shower, a fire pit, air conditioning and breathtaking views. There’s no better place to unwind and recharge!
What we loved
We honestly felt so relaxed during this stay – lounging on the cargo nets above the dam, watching weavers build their nests and happily chirp away was so peaceful. We also loved all the small touches, the owners have thought of everything to ensure the comfiest stay.
The Space
Kitchen
There’s a fully equipped kitchenette with a gas hob and oven, whistling kettle, microwave, and fridge-freezer. Ground coffee, instant coffee, tea, sugar, 250ml milk, rusks, olive oil and salt & pepper are provided.
Living/Dining
There’s a small dining area positioned in front of a fireplace. You can also dine outdoors on the wooden deck. There is a couch in front of the bed, perfect for taking in the dam views.
Outdoors
The outdoor deck features a wood-fired hot tub, double cargo nets (so you each have your own) suspended over the dam, an outdoor dining area, and a fire pit/braai area.
Bedroom
The bedroom opens onto the deck, offering stunning views of the mountains, orchards, and dam. The queen-sized bed comes with luxurious linen and electric blankets for winter. There’s also an aircon for those hot summer nights and ample cupboard/storage space.
Bathroom
The bathroom features a shower with a view! You can open the doors and enjoy your shower more in nature.

Our Top Tips
- Don’t forget your swimming costumes, pool floaties, binoculars, mountain bikes and hiking gear as you’ll want to spend your time on the dam or exploring the farm
- Book your leave in for a stress-free getaway as the wifi can be a little slow and there is no cellphone reception if you’re working remotely
- You’ll want to grab your groceries beforehand, as you won’t want to leave once you arrive! There is a Spar in Montagu that you can pop into on your way
